El Taco Vaquero (food truck)

 As much as I hate giving a negative review, I am afraid that this is one.  And I apologize that I did not have a post ready to go first thing yesterday.  I've been pretty good at getting them scheduled.  Life has been crazy lately to say the least. 

Before I go into the review, please keep in mind that people like different things and this is only  my personal opinion.  Ultimately, you should try them out and form your own opinion. 

It's not secret that I love tacos and I love Mexican food in general.  I could not make up my mind today.  So I ordered the Loaded Nachos and a couple of tacos.   My original intention was to make a couple (or more) meals out of what I ordered.  That's not happening.  The trash can will be eating them.   Again this is just based on my personal preferences.  You might try it and love it.  People are different.  

My choice of meat topping for the nachos was the Asada.  The nachos at first glance appeared as if they would be tasty.  The meat was pretty bland and the whole thing was smothered in a runny sour cream.  The cheese appeared to be just melted shredded cheese.  There was one of those paper liners in the bottom of the tray.  It got so soggy that at one point I was not sure if I was going to be eating it.  The chips however stayed crispy. That was a good thing. It was all the wet lettuce and sour cream making the paper soggy. 

The tacos were a very similar story.  Truly the only real difference between the nachos and the tacos was that the nachos were on chips and the tacos were on tortillas.  I ordered one chicken and one asada taco.  They were basically the same.  I was not a fan.  So much for making two meals out of it.  I tossed what I had left into the garbage. 

I will say though that their menu did have other items on it  So I mean I'm sure there had to be something tasty on it.  Someone I know got the Frisco Steakburger and said it was delicious. 

While I don't recommend this food truck (based solely on the items I ordered), at the same time you should make your own decision.
